The night time pursuit of rabbits that involves man, lamp and dog,

The weather must be correct and the phases of the moon must be observed if success is to be achieved. A strong wind, light rain and the moon obscured by cloud is essential, we use thermal imagers to spot the rabbits and lamps to illuminate for the dogs to see their quarry. This method is usually used to mop up survivors after ferreting has been completed.
